About the role

Enterprise Software Engineer Intern on the Enterprise Operations Software team, gaining hands-on experience building and integrating critical systems and data pipelines that power spacecraft manufacturing and business operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of internal web applications and APIs using Python, FastAPI, Node.js, and React.
  • Build, optimize, and monitor data pipelines and integrations utilizing Airbyte, PostgreSQL, and AWS Redshift to support enterprise data analytics and cross-system data flow.
  • Collaborate with the enterprise team to integrate core business platforms (such as ERP, MES, and supply chain systems) that support day-to-day spacecraft manufacturing operations.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while actively participating in code reviews and agile development workflows.
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud-based infrastructure and stateless applications within AWS.
  • Troubleshoot software issues, investigate data anomalies, and implement scalable fixes under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Foundational programming experience in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Academic or project experience building web applications or RESTful APIs (e.g., using FastAPI or Node.js).
  • Familiarity with relational databases and writing SQL queries (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new enterprise technologies and methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
