About the role

Founding team role at Sancho Robotics focused on integrating mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems to deploy compact, precise, and reliable robotic hardware for general-purpose mobile manipulators in advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build mechanical assemblies, including mechanisms, actuator integration, and sensor mounting for robotics gripper applications.
  • Develop compact PCBs, wiring assemblies, and embedded firmware for actuation, sensing, power distribution, and communication.
  • Establish calibration and testing methods to validate precision, repeatability, and durability.
  • Define hardware-software interfaces with the software team and drive system integration and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD and electrical design, with experience owning design decisions and integrating both into working electromechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers such as STM32 and integrating communication interfaces such as CAN, RS-485, EtherCAT, or SPI.
  • Ability to turn open-ended requirements into designs, build and test prototypes, and diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, and software boundaries.
