About the role

Staff Power Systems Engineer leading power system development from concept to production for the Ranger platform, mentoring engineers and driving cross-functional architecture in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the vision of the Ranger power system from concept to production
  • Design, develop, and integrate state-of-the-art high-power systems tailored for optimal performance and reliability in harsh environments
  • Enable an uninterruptible power system
  • Make vs. buy trade studies. Select, test, and integrate modules for use in the aircraft
  • Ensure system performance and reliability are met through rigorous verification
  • Debug complex problems related to the electrical design, environmental, manufacturing, etc.
  • Help build the team and lead multiple engineers dedicated to the power system design
  • Drive a cross-functional team to execute the top-level architecture
  • Provide mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership
  • Work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Power system design experience on a large vehicle, aircraft, or an equivalent power system (rocket, satellite, submarine, etc.)
  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Have delivered power system and power electronic products to market
  • Proficient with electrical engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment
  • Strong technical fundamentals and analysis
