About the role

SoC and CPU directed and random tests are written and executed to validate Apple Silicon. The role focuses on pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, debugging, and developing system-level software platforms to ensure high-quality, power-efficient SoC and CPU designs.

Responsibilities

  • Write SoC and CPU directed and random tests
  • Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon
  • Develop and maintain system-level SW platform
  • Lead SW development and execution plans of SoC projects
  • Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals
  • Engage with other teams at Apple to develop validation strategies based on product needs

Qualifications

  • BS in EE or CS + 10 years of experience
  • Embedded programming experience
  • SOC and CPU knowledge; Micro-architecture, Memory hierarchy, Interrupt and DMA, Clock and Power Gating, System level understanding, & Experience with SoC bringup
  • C/C++ and Assembly language programmer
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software debug tools and methods
  • Experience with scopes
