About the role

Early-career Site Reliability Engineer to help build and maintain the infrastructure that services Radar, Apple’s internal tool for bug tracking, test case management, and product management used across hardware and software engineering. Join a growing, distributed team to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve a high-traffic microservices platform, receive mentorship, and develop skills in Apple’s development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health and performance of Radar’s services, and respond to alerts and incidents.
  • Build and improve dashboards, alerting, run books, and telemetry.
  • Investigate production issues and contribute to root cause analysis and follow-up fixes.
  • Automate operational tasks with scripts and tooling.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with support from senior engineers.
  • Follow and help improve the team’s operational best practices.

Qualifications

  • Solid scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, Java, or similar language.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and a working understanding of the software development lifecycle.
