About the role

Product RF Design role focusing on RF/wireless systems integration, antenna design, and production-ready implementation for Apple wireless products. Collaborates with wireless/software architects, industrial/product designers, and manufacturing teams to optimize RF/Wireless functionality and enable mass production.

Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in RF architecture, design, integration and manufacturing from concept to final production.
  • Use electromagnetic and system simulation, prototyping, test and measurement to understand complex interactions and manufacturing trade-offs.
  • Guide and sculpt product design to optimize RF/Wireless functionality for the user.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support builds from prototype phase to mass production.
  • Communicate effectively across cultures and geographical locations; build strong internal and external relationships.

Qualifications

  • BSEE or Equivalent education.
  • Coursework or experience in antenna/RF design, wireless communications, EM, or circuits.
  • Experience in antenna design including simulation, mockup skills and architecture investigation.
  • Experience in RF measurement and desense.
  • Experience in integration of wireless technologies such as cellular, GPS, Wifi, and NFC into products.
  • Experience in RF schematic and PCB layout practices and guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with RF lab instrumentation.
  • Ability to debug desense issues and characterize noise sources.
  • Experience with production environment and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across cultures and geographical locations.
  • Strong collaborator with ability to build strong relationships both within and outside the team.
