About the role

Senior Engineering Project Manager responsible for leading and managing major, cross-functional projects within Apple's IS&T Services Technology team, defining SDLC processes, mentoring contractor EPMs, and translating business needs into technical plans for enterprise web applications in Employee Experience and Productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage several major, complex engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve SDLC processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of contractor EPMs and other project personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Act as the primary bridge between business, functional, design, and engineering teams, translating business requirements into actionable technical plans and communicating technical complexities back to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans to ensure project success.
  • Remove team impediments and resolve challenging project delivery issues to keep projects on track.
  • Drive quality across all project phases, from requirements definition and technical design to testing and deployment. Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines effectively.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with Apple's standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as an Engineering Project Manager, successfully delivering complex, cross functional projects.
  • 4+ years of experience successfully delivering Agile projects.
  • 4+ years working in complex, highly integrated, cross-functional environments.
  • Hands on experience in Gen AI technologies.
