About the role

Genius at Apple Retail who combines extensive troubleshooting skills with the ability to inspire excitement for Apple products and services. Responsible for educating customers about repair options, performing repairs, mentoring team members, handling customer escalations, and contributing to an inclusive store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Provide excellent service by understanding customer needs, identifying ownership opportunities, presenting product and service recommendations, and educating customers on relevant ways to buy.
  • Repair Apple products serviced in the store and stay up to date on all Apple products, services, and Genius Bar repair processes and procedures.
  • Educate and mentor Genius Bar team members; serve as a mentor and positive role model.
  • Support leadership in providing timely resolution to customer escalations; contribute to an inclusive environment and Apple’s values of inclusion and diversity.
  • Identify recurring repair problems and provide feedback to Apple through team leaders.
  • Assist with customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor as needed.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise, analyze problems, follow troubleshooting steps, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Collaborate across the store and with key partners to achieve team goals.
  • Handle, lift, and move merchandise safely.
  • Stay informed about hardware and software components to educate others on potential origins of technical issues.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales or related work experience.
  • Visual inspection and fine motor skills to safely perform hardware repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
