About the role

Apple seeks a WiFi Software Systems Analysis Engineer to analyze WiFi/BT functional and performance issues, drive architectural improvements, and enhance user experience across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, development of advanced system evaluation and debugging capabilities, and contributing from concept to commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze WiFi/BT functional and performance issues and drive architectural improvements for future Apple product lines.
  • Improve overall user experience in terms of performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with platform architecture, standardization, firmware/host development, system test and QA teams to drive enhancement proposals from concept to commercialization.
  • Develop advanced system evaluation and debugging capabilities as needed.
  • Impact iPhone, iPad & Mac user experience worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with 802.11 MAC/PHY protocols, WiFi standards (WiFi-7) & systems debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers to debug and root cause system-level issues.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, building agents to streamline data analysis and issue triage.
  • Proficient understanding of TCP/IP suite of protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, particularly with technical content.
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.
