About the role

SoC level validation engineer role in Apple’s Silicon Technologies group focused on validating next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chips (SoCs) through pre- and post-silicon testing, debug, and validation work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SoC and CPU directed and random tests
  • Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon
  • Develop and maintain system-level software platform
  • Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals

Qualifications

  • BS in EE or CS + 3 years of experience
  • SOC and CPU knowledge; micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupt and DMA, clock and power gating, system level understanding, & experience with SoC bringup
  • C/C++ and Assembly language programmer
  • Knowledge of hardware and software debug tools and methods
  • Experience with embedded programming with an understanding of hardware-software interfaces
