About the role

In the Silicon Technologies group, you will help design and validate next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC). You’ll run a comprehensive bare-metal system-level software suite to catch corner-case hardware bugs, perform pre- and post-silicon validation, and collaborate with designers and architects to meet validation goals. The role spans from junior to senior levels and emphasizes debugging and ensuring high-quality Apple Silicon.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SoC and CPU directed and random tests
  • Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon
  • Develop and maintain system-level SW platform
  • Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals

Qualifications

  • BS, MS or PhD in EE or CS
  • SOC and CPU knowledge; Micro-architecture, Memory hierarchy, Interrupt and DMA, Clock and Power Gating, System level understanding, & Experience with SoC bringup
  • C/C++ and Assembly language programmer
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software debug tools and methods
  • Experience with embedded programming with an understanding of hardware-software interfaces
