About the role

Technical owner of the EDR agent reliability and capability expansion for a large fleet, focusing on quality, reliability, and operational excellence. Leads design and implementation to run a Swift-based agent on Linux and Apple silicon, coordinates with SREs, and shapes the Tier 1–3 support model and incident response culture.

Responsibilities

  • Own quality, reliability and operational excellence for the EDR agent.
  • Own the relationship with Security SRE, platform-specific SRE, and Tier 1–3 support model.
  • Deliver in ambiguous, high-stakes scenarios and foster a culture of learning from failures.
  • Lead design and impact of running the EDR agent at scale.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of professional experience building, shipping and supporting production software or system software.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Swift on server, C for eBPF and kernel-level code.
  • Experience owning the reliability of a critical production system (availability, performance, rollout safety, operational readiness).
  • Experience leading incident response and post-mortems; proven reliability learning culture (blameless reviews, corrective actions, measurable improvement).
  • Proficiency in at least one high-level/scripting language (Python or Rust) and at least one low-level systems language (C or C++).
  • Strong knowledge of OS internals (processes, threads, memory, system calls, namespaces); Linux and/or macOS.
  • Credible understanding of attacker behavior and security concepts; telemetry patterns on hosts.
