About the role

San Diego, California-based role in Apple’s Silicon Technologies group focused on design, validation, and validation tooling for next-generation SoC and CPU. Responsible for pre- and post-silicon system-level validation, debugging, and building the software platform used to validate Apple's silicon at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SoC and CPU directed and random tests
  • Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon
  • Develop and maintain system-level SW platform
  • Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals

Qualifications

  • BS, MS or PhD in EE or CS
  • SOC and CPU knowledge; Micro-architecture, Memory hierarchy, Interrupt and DMA, Clock and Power Gating, System level understanding, Experience with SoC bringup
  • C/C++ and Assembly language programmer
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software debug tools and methods
  • Experience with embedded programming with an understanding of hardware-software interfaces
