About the role

Genius combines extensive troubleshooting skills with the ability to inspire excitement for Apple products and services. Delivers exceptional service, educates customers on repair options and Apple offerings, performs repairs on all Apple products serviced in the store, and mentors team members while upholding Apple’s values of inclusion and diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Provide excellent service to Apple customers by understanding their needs, identifying ownership opportunities, presenting product and service recommendations, and educating customers on relevant ways to buy.
  • Educate customers on repair options and Apple offerings.
  • Repair Apple products in the store and ensure high-quality repairs.
  • Mentor, resource, and positive role model for Genius Bar team members.
  • Support leadership in providing timely resolution to customer escalations.
  • Identify recurring repair problems with team leaders and provide feedback to Apple.
  • Support and educate the broader team by sharing knowledge and insights.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment and demonstrate Apple values in daily activities.
  • Possess knowledge of all Apple products, services, and Genius Bar repair processes to support efficient repairs.
  • Maintain awareness of hardware and software components to identify likely sources of technical issues.
  • Handle, lift, and move merchandise safely.
  • Perform other tasks as needed, including customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Visual inspection and fine motor skills to safely perform hardware repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
