About the role

Join Apple's Silicon Technologies group to design, validate, and bring up next-generation SoCs and CPUs. You will write and debug test suites, develop system-level software, collaborate with designers and architects, and help ensure high-quality, power-efficient processors for Apple devices across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Write SoC and CPU directed and random tests
  • Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon
  • Develop and maintain system-level SW platform
  • Lead SW development and execution plans of SoC projects
  • Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals
  • Engaging with other teams at Apple to develop validation strategies based on product needs

Qualifications

  • BS in EE or CS + 10 years of experience
  • Embedded programming experience
  • SOC and CPU knowledge; consider the following: Micro-architecture, Memory hierarchy, Interrupt and DMA, Clock and Power Gating, System level understanding, & Experience with SoC bringup
  • C/C++ and Assembly language programmer
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software debug tools and methods
  • Experience with scopes
