About the role

Role within Apple’s Information Systems & Technology team delivering robust security solutions for SAP provisioning, authentication, authorization, and application-level security across on-premise and cloud SAP landscapes; collaborates with Information Security, Audit, Compliance, and Engineering to strengthen access controls, mitigate risk, and ensure compliant, scalable SAP implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Research and architect robust security solutions to support an expanding enterprise SAP landscape and complex project requirements.
  • Lead security design and governance across both on-premise systems and cloud platforms for current and future implementations.
  • Propose and implement technical and process improvements to continually strengthen application security, identity governance, and compliance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Information Security, Internal Audit, Compliance, and Engineering teams to identify opportunities and advance security standards.
  • Document and communicate technical security architectures, roadmaps, and guidelines to build consensus across business and technical partners.
  • Oversee access governance, including managing Segregation of Duties (SOD) risks, applying mitigation controls, and monitoring elevated privileges and sensitive access.
  • Drive project execution by managing multiple security deliverables simultaneously while collaborating with distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in security administration or technical security solutions across enterprise systems, networks, and applications.
  • Experience with SAP authorization concepts across enterprise platforms (such as ECC, BW, Portal, BPC, S/4HANA, or SAP Cloud solutions).
  • Experience integrating Identity Management (IdM) systems for provisioning and Directory Services for Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.
  • Experience implementing and administering SAP GRC Access Control for centralized risk management, compliant provisioning, and role administration.
  • Experience analyzing Segregation of Duties (SOD) conflicts, defining mitigation controls, and monitoring critical access.
  • Experience utilizing continuous monitoring and configuration validation tools (such as SAP Solution Manager Configuration Validation, System Recommendations, or similar platforms).
  • Proven track record of architecting and leading complex security initiatives from concept to deployment within large-scale environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Experience successfully collaborating with multi-functional, globally distributed teams across different time zones.
