About the role
SDS Privacy team hiring an Engineering Program Manager for a high-visibility, cross-functional role between SDS and Apple’s Privacy Engineering, Privacy Legal, and Privacy Compliance. Drives process, platform, and analytic solutions to ensure data collection and use decisions align with SDS requirements and Apple’s privacy standards; liaison between SDS teams and Corporate Privacy Management Office.
Responsibilities
- Onboard engineering teams to privacy platforms, build SDS-specific procedures and processes, ensure consistent application of privacy standards across SDS, design role-based privacy training, run the SDS Privacy awareness program, create and maintain the SDS privacy website, identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual privacy review and approval chains.
- Design the Privacy program from the ground up, act as liaison between SDS teams and Apple’s Corporate Privacy Management Office teams (Privacy Legal, Privacy Engineering, Privacy Compliance), monitor regulatory/policy changes, surface developments to SDS leadership, drive SDS Privacy response to new requirements.
- Deliver as part of Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) to drive decision automation using machine learning, enable faster, more controlled, efficient, and scalable operations, lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize, build, and deliver automated/forensic decisions, maintain discipline and adaptability while collaborating with multiple business and engineering teams.
Qualifications
- BS/MS or equivalent experience in engineering, math, computer science
- 3+ years of experience in technical program management or project management
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and navigate evolving regulation to provide clear guidance
- Proven ability to build/sustain partnerships across engineering, legal, and policy stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt to audiences from engineers to senior leadership
- Track record of managing multiple concurrent programs with competing priorities
- Inquisitiveness and desire for continued self-improvement and development of new skills
