About the role

Role focused on designing CPU-based subsystems for high performance, low power wireless SoCs within Apple’s wireless silicon development team. Collaborates with SoC architects, IP developers, software/firmware/platform engineers to meet power, performance, and area goals, with emphasis on low power metrics and integration of standard and custom IP blocks.

Responsibilities

  • Writing micro-architecture and design specifications.
  • Coding design in SystemVerilog following established design guidelines, owning all aspects of RTL development design.
  • Integrate IP blocks and optimize memories/hard macros required for the block.
  • Supporting verification efforts at multiple levels.
  • Checking your design with industry standard static tools such as LINT, CDC, RDC.
  • Analyzing and optimizing area, timing, and power.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery by incorporating proper checks at every stage of the design process.

Qualifications

  • BS with 10+ years relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with the ASIC design flow.
  • Knowledge of digital design, SoC architecture, and HDL languages like Verilog.
  • Shown experience writing micro-architecture specifications and converting them to design.
  • Exposure to design methodologies and industry standard EDA tools.
  • Experience with AXI/AHB bus fabric and processor sub-systems.
  • Understanding of UPF and low-power design & implementation techniques.
  • Self-starter and willingness to learn.
