About the role

PMO-focused role supporting Apple Sales and Operations via project management, portfolio governance, and organizational development within the Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) function. Responsible for standards, strategic alignment, portfolio execution, governance cadence, and cross-functional program delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Standards and tooling — setting the standards and tools by which BPR completes its work.
  • Strategic alignment — driving multi-year road-mapping and leading the annual capital planning process for Sales and Operations.
  • Portfolio execution — owning reporting, cross-portfolio impact assessment, and organizational development for the BPR teams.
  • Management system — running the operating cadence the BPR teams use to stay aligned and communicate internally.
  • Program management — acting as the program management function for key cross-functional initiatives within Sales and Operations.
  • Own ongoing portfolio management processes, including recurring portfolio reporting and the escalation of critical issues and exceptions to the right decision-makers.
  • Continuously mature and hone the tools, methods, and techniques the PMO makes available to the BPR teams.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute organizational development activities such as training programs, new-joiner inductions, workshops, and team meetings.
  • Support the annual capital planning cycle, including business case review, PR/PO creation, and tracking of approved spend against plan.
  • Partner closely with the IS&T PMO and adjacent delivery organizations to align governance, intake, and reporting across shared programs.
  • Maintain data hygiene and integrity across portfolio systems of record, so reporting and decisions rest on trustworthy data.
  • Step into a critical program delivery role under pressure for short windows of time to assure the delivery of highly visible cross-functional programs.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in project management, program management, and portfolio planning and delivery — to the level of setting standards, proposing policy, and coaching others.
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end business processes of a manufacturing business, from sales through the supply chain.
  • Good experience of personally delivering large-scale initiatives under pressure, with high levels of complexity and ambiguity.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to partner credibly with Finance on capital planning, budgets, and spend governance.
  • Expertise in building and automating portfolio reporting that gives leadership an objective view of program health.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field required.
