About the role

Engineers on the AppKit team responsible for delivering the user experience on macOS, contributing to AppKit, UIKit, and SwiftUI, and helping shape features such as Dark Mode, Mac Catalyst, Touch Bar, Auto Layout, and Screen Time across the OS.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for owning the graphics infrastructure in the Mac UI Frameworks team.
  • Strong object oriented programming skills
  • In-depth development experience at the application and user interface level with Cocoa, Cocoa Touch, Windows, Android, or Java
  • Ability to work collaboratively to improve designs and code
  • Strong knowledge of one or more of Swift, Objective C, C, C++, or Java
  • Experience building user interface frameworks
  • Adept at working across teams to resolve potentially conflicting requirements
  • Experience writing and advocating for API
  • Experience working with low-level graphics API like Core Image, Core Graphics, or Metal

Qualifications
