About the role

Technical Specialist at Apple Retail providing technical support, troubleshooting, and education on Apple products and services, with focus on delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to a knowledgeable, inclusive store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and skilled troubleshooting for customers.
  • Educate customers on repair options and Apple products and services.
  • Develop knowledge of Apple products, services, and Genius Bar repair processes to support efficient repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve service concerns for select Apple hardware and software.
  • Identify recurring repair problems with team leaders and relay feedback to Apple.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by understanding needs and presenting product/service recommendations.
  • Educate customers on relevant ways to buy and available services.
  • Support customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor as needed.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment and demonstrate Apple’s values of inclusion and diversity.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work a schedule based on business needs including nights, weekends, and public holidays in the retail store.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise of Apple products and services.
  • Ability to follow troubleshooting steps to identify root causes in a customer service setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate customer service issues with care.
  • Commitment to continuous learning about Apple and third-party products to enhance customer experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a team with shared responsibility and accountability.
  • Discretion with sensitive or confidential information.
  • Curiosity and openness to learn from others and help others grow.
