About the role

Manager to lead several teams that develop capabilities and tooling supporting offensive and defensive security projects, driving an AI-native security evaluation pipeline and partnering with Apple’s security researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple teams of software, security, and AI engineers to build and evolve security evaluation tooling and AI-driven vulnerability discovery/analysis systems
  • Set technical direction and grow/mentor multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure tooling is adopted and used across Apple and aligns with researchers' workflows
  • Develop and scale fuzzing infrastructure and techniques
  • Operate research tooling as production services and provide consultative support for hardware and software assessments
  • Collaborate with researchers and other teams on proofs of concept, design reviews, and specifications to enhance tooling
  • Work with teams across product areas (platform security, hardware/software boundary, wireless technologies, and more) to support security assessments

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing software development and/or tooling teams
  • Extraordinary leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of iOS and macOS security architecture
  • Familiarity with applied ML and LLM-based agent systems and their evaluation
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization/Kubernetes, observability) for scaling internal tooling
