About the role

Principal Security Software Engineer responsible for tackling complex security problems across datacenter and public cloud infrastructure and services, translating emerging threats into concrete defenses, and embedding secure-by-design practices across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, and implement innovative security solutions to protect systems and services while enabling rapid, safe engineering.
  • Solve security challenges spanning infrastructure, public cloud, applications, data stores and platforms with scalable architectures.
  • Translate security requirements into practical, developer-friendly solutions and embed protection from the ground up.
  • Identify new approaches and tools to make secure-by-design the default path.
  • Mentor and collaborate to strengthen security capabilities across the organization.
  • Analyze emerging threats, attack vectors, and develop proactive defenses; drive platform/service changes accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
  • Expert knowledge in threat modeling, vulnerability management, security architecture, and secure coding practices.
  • Deep expertise in AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Strong coding or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and experience with IaC and DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
  • Leadership: ability to lead security strategy and mentor cross-functional teams; drive a security-focused culture.
