About the role

User Experience and User Interface Software Engineer focused on building observability infrastructure and experiences at massive scale. Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to create UI for monitoring Apple services, turning telemetry data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to comprehend user requirements and business objectives.
  • Design and implement user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Grafana.
  • Create interactive prototypes to test and refine design concepts.
  • Optimize user interfaces for performance and accessibility.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to guide design enhancements.
  • Remain informed about the latest trends and best practices in user experience design.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and UI component libraries.
  • Experience building UIs with React.
  • Experience using Grafana and creating dashboards.
  • Experience monitoring applications with observability tools or services.
  • Deep understanding of UX design principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies and frameworks.
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience with PromQL.
  • Experience go, cobra, cli ux/ui.
  • Experience participating in on-call rotation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
  • Passion for developing and testing clear, robust code.
  • Great communication skills.
