About the role

Advises on a wide range of issues relating to Apple's media services, partnering with engineering, product, and business teams on product development, commercial transactions, and regulatory matters. Drafts and negotiates complex digital media, content licensing, and technology agreements; counsels on new features and initiatives; assesses regulatory implications; provides practical, actionable guidance under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on a wide range of issues relating to Apple's media services, partnering with engineering, product, and business teams on product development, commercial transactions, and emerging legal and regulatory matters
  • Draft and negotiate complex digital media, content licensing, and technology agreements
  • Counsel on new product features and initiatives and assess regulatory and compliance implications
  • Translate business objectives into practical legal solutions, exercise sound judgment in uncertainty, and provide clear guidance under tight deadlines
  • Build effective cross-functional relationships and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Support new features, launches, and strategic initiatives in product counseling

Qualifications

  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
  • 8+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience advising on digital media, technology, intellectual property, or related matters, including negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaborate across teams and geographies
  • Experience in digital media, consumer-facing technology, or content licensing with understanding of copyright and intellectual property law
  • Background in product counseling, including supporting new features, launches and strategic initiatives
  • Experience analyzing US and international regulatory frameworks impacting digital media, online platforms, and technology services
  • Experience advising on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, including related intellectual property, licensing, product, and regulatory considerations
  • Curious, proactive self-starter with sound judgment and creative problem-solving
