About the role

Senior SRE within ASE Security SRE partnering with development teams to operate and mature services in identity, token issuance, and access management, with accountability for reliability, operational quality, and security posture across customer-facing services.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with development teams on service design, capacity planning, and operational readiness ahead of launch
  • Own or co-own SLOs, error budgets, and incident response for services in the aligned area
  • Participate in on-call for the services you support, alongside the development team
  • Drive reliability and observability improvements as a standing part of the team's engineering work
  • Represent operational health in planning and review forums for the area

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years in a Site Reliability Engineering or infrastructure focused role
  • Strong working experience in at least one of: Golang or Swift
  • Deep experience with distributed, stateful systems operating at high scale and high availability
  • Strong understanding of networking, storage, and performance at scale
  • Experience running Tier 1 services with 24/7 support expectations
  • Knowledge of securing APIs, including authentication and authorization mechanisms for RESTful and gRPC APIs
  • Understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth and JWT
