About the role

Senior individual contributor role responsible for designing and running Applied Intuition’s employment compliance program and supporting employee relations case management across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Build the employment compliance framework and roadmap from pre-boarding through offboarding
  • Audit practices against legal requirements in each country/state and close gaps
  • Define recurring compliance checks and schedules (I-9 sampling, policy attestation, training completion, pay data validation) and the metrics to monitor compliance health
  • Own the employee handbook and employment policies, templates, and governance model
  • Write, maintain, and communicate policies; manage ownership and version control
  • Leverage AI to improve policy delivery while meeting governance and privacy requirements
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders, Legal, and COEs for local law alignment
  • Run the employment records program with HRIS on data privacy and governance across jurisdictions (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, local laws)
  • Monitor global legislative changes and translate into updated policy/process
  • Drive compliance reporting (OFCCP, gender pay gap, time & attendance) with country-specific partners
  • Own the background check program
  • Own People Compliance Training via LMS (Ethena)
  • Drive the framework for workplace investigations and centralized case management
  • Maintain confidential case records and analyze trends to surface systemic issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years in HR compliance, employee relations, People Operations, or employment law
  • Strong California employment law expertise, plus multi-state experience
  • Global experience across APAC, EMEA, and/or MENA preferred
  • Experience in both startup and publicly traded companies
  • Experience with internal and external auditors
  • Judgment to know when to decide and when to escalate to Legal/leadership
  • Proven ability to own and improve a program with minimal day-to-day direction
  • Clear, precise writing for policies, investigation memos, and employee communications
