About the role
Test Engineering provides and supports the test systems that verify NEO hardware meets functional and quality requirements before shipment. The role executes reliable tests on NEO hardware and robotic subassemblies, maintains test stations, and collaborates with engineering and manufacturing to ensure production at scale.
Responsibilities
- Execute functional, electrical, and electromechanical tests accurately and consistently against documented test plans and engineering requirements.
- Maintain test station readiness by preparing and verifying fixtures, instrumentation, cabling, power supplies, and associated equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot test station and hardware failures, providing clear technical documentation and escalating issues to engineering when needed.
- Maintain accurate test records, pass/fail results, serial number traceability, and failure reports to support quality investigations and production decisions.
- Support timely failure reproduction, retesting, and verification to minimize production delays and prevent recurring issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve test procedures, station reliability, and execution efficiency as production requirements evolve.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in an engineering lab, manufacturing test, electronics test, equipment maintenance, or a similar technical environment; relevant experience expectations will vary by level.
- Practical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical hardware.
- Experience using hand tools and basic test equipment, such as digital multimeters and power supplies.
- Ability to follow technical procedures, interpret test instructions, and accurately document results.
- Basic computer skills, including working with spreadsheets and digital documentation systems.
