Senior frontend software engineer to lead frontend development for an AI-powered mental health EHR platform. Role involves owning core parts of the product, collaborating with design and backend teams, and delivering intuitive, performant interfaces in a startup, YC-backed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own core parts of the product and frontend architecture
  • Collaborate with design and backend teams
  • Develop intuitive, performant, and scalable user interfaces
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
  • Uphold frontend best practices and focus on client-side performance optimization
  • Handle REST APIs and asynchronous data flows
  • Participate in startup-era learning and product-market fit activities

Qualifications

  • Several years of relevant frontend design and development experience
  • Expertise in CSS/HTML and preprocessors (SASS or LESS)
  • Experience with REST APIs and asynchronous data flows
  • Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience with modern JS frameworks (React, React Native, Redux)
  • Expertise in building responsive layouts
  • Experience with modern browser technologies
  • Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong understanding of client-side performance optimization techniques
  • Code reviews and mentoring experience
  • Comfort with ambiguity in startup environment
