About the role

Full Stack Engineer role at Nash, a San Francisco-based logistics platform, focused on designing and building the Nash portal with end-to-end ownership across React/TypeScript frontend and Python backend services.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship features end to end across the stack, from the React and TypeScript portal operators rely on every shift, to the Python services and APIs that power it.
  • Translate logistics problems into products. Partner with PM, design, and operations to turn messy real-world workflows into interfaces and systems that fit how customers actually run their business.
  • Contribute to system design and architectural decisions across the platform, balancing reliability, security, and scalability against the speed the business needs.
  • Write clean, well-tested code, drive thoughtful code reviews, and raise the bar on engineering standards across the team.
  • Debug and resolve production issues across frontend and backend, with the automated tests and observability that catch problems before customers do.
  • Build responsive, high-performance interfaces with a sharp eye for latency, loading and error states, and the edge cases that decide whether an operator trusts the product.
  • Support a strong engineering culture through mentorship, thoughtful reviews, and shared ownership of technical standards.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years building and shipping full-stack web applications in production
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems is a plus
  • Strong React skills (or equivalent modern frameworks), with deep working knowledge of TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and component-driven architecture
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks
  • Experience designing and working with GraphQL and RESTful APIs, relational databases (PostgreSQL), and familiarity with NoSQL stores
  • Comfort working in microservices or service-oriented architectures
  • Solid system design, coding, and testing skills on both sides of the stack
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern deployment practices
  • Product sense and craft; strong communication across product, design, operations, and data
  • High agency in a fast-paced environment
  • Mentorship instincts: experience growing other engineers through reviews, pairing, or technical leadership is a plus
  • Strong preference for the Bay Area; Nash hybrid-first product team in San Francisco office

About Nash

Nash is the digital logistics infrastructure for commerce

Last mile is a $500B industry powering digital commerce but managed largely with self managed API integrations. Nash approaches last mile orchestration with information completeness solutions from checkout, courier management, customer engagement, and post-purchase experience. Doing this enables merchants and customers to capture immense efficiencies, drive better customer experience, reliability and business outcomes. We are working towards a mission of processing a double digit percentage of every physical last-mile transaction. We achieve this by providing top of the market modules for each step of the customer journey and leveraging the network effects from having more information that allows traditional competitors to collaborate. It’s a big mission, but we are already seeing strong market pull as we are already serving some of the largest retailers in the world like Walmart, 7-Eleven and Woolworths. Nash was founded in 2021 by Mahmoud Ghulman (2x Founder, MIT) and Aziz Alghunaim (2x Founder, 2x YC, Ex-Palantir, MIT) and has raised funding from top investors, including Y-Combinator and a16z, to build the world’s best logistics infrastructure platform. We are based in SF.
