Senior Software Engineer, Interoperability
About the role
Senior Software Engineer role on the Healthcare Interoperability team at Axle Health, focusing on connecting the logistics platform into users’ daily workflows through EHR integrations, API integrations, and scalable, secure systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Electronic Health Record (EHR) integrations
- Architect high volume systems that will support hundreds of thousands of patients
- Develop and evolve API integrations within the Axle Heath ecosystem
- Collaborate with and lead other engineers to build performant, scaleable, and secure systems
- Mentor junior engineers to further their career trajectories
- Write documentation to scale team knowledge within and without the interoperability team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to conduct effective code reviews
- Expertise building backend systems in Node + TypeScript (1-2 years)
- Hands on experience working with SQL databases
- Experience working in fast paced, high growth startup environments with a desire to build
- Demonstrated ability to self-learn and quickly adapt to new technologies
