About the role

Senior UX Designer role at Axle Health, a scheduling and workforce management SaaS for home healthcare. Owns end-to-end UX from research to execution across web and mobile, partnering with product and engineering in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Rapid design iteration: translate product requirements and user feedback into wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity designs quickly, treating shipping and learning as the cycle rather than a long runway to perfection before handoff
  • Cross-functional partnership: collaborate daily with product managers and engineers to enable fast, informed design decisions
  • Lightweight user research: conduct targeted, fast research (interviews, usability checks, feedback synthesis) inputting into next design iterations
  • Multi-platform design execution: own design quality across web and mobile from concept to final specs
  • Design system stewardship: build and maintain shared components and patterns for faster team delivery
  • Design communication: present decisions concisely to Head of Product and cross-functional partners
  • Engineering collaboration: stay embedded with engineering to catch issues early and maintain design quality
  • Post-launch optimization: use analytics and user feedback to identify improvements and prioritize in sprints

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional UX design experience
  • Advanced Figma proficiency
  • Previous startup experience in early-stage or high-growth environment
  • Workflow product experience (scheduling, operations, logistics, or similar)
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration with PMs and engineers
  • User research fluency (interviews, usability tests, synthesis)
  • Cross-platform experience across web and mobile
