About the role

Owns the development and rollout of large products or projects, leads technical teams, and champions process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the development and rollout for an entire product or large project.
  • Champions process (Scrum, TDD, etc).
  • Writes tech specs and identifies risks before starting major projects.
  • Sets standards and reduces complexity.
  • Leads technical teams of 2-5 engineers to project completion.
  • Supports organizational design and team growth.
  • Partners with delivery managers, tech leaders, and product owners.
  • Builds teams, tools, and processes to enable effective developer execution.
  • Focuses on developer experience, tools, and pipelines.
  • Serves as a Technical Lead guiding development efforts.
  • Contributes to the evolution of content supply applications.
  • Designs, develops, modifies, and supports software components across the stack.
  • Conducts root cause analysis of complex software issues.
  • Evaluates new technologies and recommends adoption.
  • Assists in planning, estimation, scheduling, staffing.
  • Mentors software engineers.
  • Implements process improvements and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of programming experience.
  • Broad experience designing, programming, and implementing large information systems.
  • Ability to analyze complex technological issues in-depth.
  • Management experience of 3+ years.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Discretion and independent judgment in duties.
