About the role

Role combining patent expertise with AI systems development to support Solve Intelligence’s AI-powered patent platform for patent applications, prosecution, portfolio management, freedom-to-operate, and litigation.

Responsibilities

  • AI Output Optimization: Define and develop products and AI systems for patent applications, prosecution, portfolio management, freedom-to-operate, and patent litigation; iterate and develop algorithms and prompts to specialize AI for patent tasks; build proprietary benchmarks and datasets to evaluate patent AI models against USPTO and international office requirements
  • Product Development: Translate client insights into product priorities and roadmaps; document best practices and scalable playbooks for patent AI adoption across practice areas (biotech, software, mechanical, etc.); map AI impact across prosecution, litigation, and portfolio management workflows; tackle unsolved AI problems in patent law
  • Client Partnership & AI Deployment: Act as strategic partner to patent attorneys and IP teams; own client relationships from pilots to firm-wide adoption; deliver product demos and training showing AI-enhanced patent workflows (prior art searches, claim drafting, prosecution strategy)

Qualifications

  • Must have: Admitted to practice before the USPTO, EPO or JPO; 3+ years patent prosecution experience; undergraduate degree in engineering or life sciences
