ML Research Engineer
About the role
Theorem is building AI-powered program verification to improve software correctness, understandability, and security. The ML Research Engineer role focuses on post-training model capabilities for program analysis and formal reasoning, and developing interfaces to help users navigate complex implementations and derive non-functional requirements using compiler-level reasoning.
Responsibilities
- Write software correctness feedback that scales with code complexity and volume
- Post-training model development for program analysis and formal reasoning
- Develop interfaces to navigate complex implementations of simple specifications
- Help users find bugs, generate design documentation, and implement non-functional requirements using compiler-level reasoning methods
- Collaborate with founders and team to tackle large-scale, challenging projects
Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning
- Strong interest in program analysis or formal methods (implied from role)
- Ability to work on large-scale, complex problems
- Willingness to collaborate and teach others
- New grads welcome (Any experience level indicated)
Skills
Benefits
- Compensation: $150,000-250,000 with generous equity
- Visa sponsorship available

About Theorem
Program verification so even your systems engineers can vibecode
Theorem is training models that make program verification 10,000 times faster. Using verification as a feedback loop, developers have found zero-days in GPU accelerated code and cryptography implementations, and sped up code migration in legacy systems. If you have complicated code that needs to be correct and secure, sign up for our beta!
