About the role

Consultant role to advance a Robotics initiative at Instawork, starting immediately with current projects. Focus on robotics data quality, camera calibration, and enabling AI model development through robust data pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perfecting Robotics Data: collect and validate data from robotics sensors; ensure data streams are synchronized, lossless, and ready for AI model training using ROS, .mcap, and the ZED SDK.
  • Camera Calibration Wizard: perform camera calibration with intrinsic and extrinsic parameter expertise; use checkerboards or calibration patterns to achieve sub-millimeter accuracy and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ROS; ability to build and maintain robust data pipelines with ROS; ZED SDK experience a huge plus.
  • Strong understanding of data quality for ML datasets and bias prevention.
  • Fluency in Python or C++ and experience with data visualization tools like Foxglove or RViz.
