About the role
Lead for Promise's government-focused Relief initiatives, shaping product strategy and building a sustainable platform. Reports to the CTO; manages an engineering team to deliver government relief and income verification solutions that align with company goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product and engineering strategies for the government product Relief and Income Verification, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall mission and goals.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
- Establish and implement best practices in engineering processes, ensuring efficient, high-quality delivery of products.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends, driving adoption to enhance product performance and customer outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing engineering teams, including strategic leadership and hands-on engineering management roles.
- Proven track record of executing technical strategies within startup environments and established technology organizations.
- Strong capability to align technical initiatives with organizational objectives, demonstrating a holistic understanding of business and engineering dynamics.
- Experience in government technology is a plus but not mandatory.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with an ability to inspire and mobilize diverse teams toward ambitious goals.
