About the role

Seeking a platform engineer with expertise in web frontend development, Rust, data modeling, and cloud architecture to help build and scale Poly’s personal cloud storage platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a robust full-stack file management application, focusing on reactivity, persistence, latency, data caching, and API interaction.
  • Contribute to the development of Poly’s cross-platform desktop and web application, ensuring UI/UX consistency and performance.
  • Shape the cloud architecture to enable fast, scalable file storage solutions.
  • Help improve and expand the AI architecture to enhance search capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in core software design and architectural considerations for full-stack applications.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Vue.js, and Rust.
  • Interest or experience in data modeling, cache design, and local-first systems.
  • Strong independent learning and automation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and work in-person 5 days a week in San Francisco.
