About the role

Open-source observability company SigNoz seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (remote, India time zones) to architect observability solutions, document integrations, and contribute hands-on implementation for customer deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Architect observability solutions with OpenTelemetry instrumentation strategy
  • Customize dashboards and optimize for customer use cases
  • Create custom integration guides, troubleshooting docs, and best practices documentation
  • Directly contribute to customer codebases and help debug instrumentation issues
  • Ensure successful deployments rather than only providing guidance
  • Identify patterns in customer deployments to improve defaults, templates, and tooling for the product

Qualifications

  • 2-6 years experience in technical roles (DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Solutions Engineering)
  • DevOps/Platform engineering background (Containerization, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, cloud platforms AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Strong programming skills (Go, Python, Node.js, Java)
  • Excellent technical writing skills for clear, actionable documentation
  • Systems thinking for distributed architectures and scalable monitoring strategies
  • Strong learning skills to adapt to new customer environments
