Contract and negotiation AI built for lawyers. Senior backend role at Draftwise focusing on building features, scaling the platform, and optimizing queries and infrastructure across AWS, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and ML-related components.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of features and make meaningful architectural decisions
  • Write performant, elegant code
  • Scale the platform and improve performance across the stack
  • Fine-tune Postgres and Elasticsearch queries for growing scale
  • Work on building and deploying data-intensive applications including NLP / search / indexing and data processing, and potentially LLM-related work
  • Participate in engineering design decisions and contribute to product and culture

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a professional software engineer
  • Extensive and recent experience in Java
