About the role

Senior backend engineer responsible for extending banking features, handling increased usage, and supporting non-technical company functions. Maintains core deposit account and debit card offering via Banking as a Service partner, and designs architecture to bundle additional financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, design, and front end teams to build new financial offerings that advance the company mission.
  • Work with back end peers to establish new processes, software patterns, and tools that expedite our development process.
  • Maintain a testing and observability stack that keeps our system stable and proactively alerts us of internal or third party users.
  • Work with leadership to plan our engineering execution across different time horizons.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience using Python and Postgres
  • Bonus: Experience with GraphQL, DevOps (Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes), and pub/sub models (Kafka)
