About the role

Engineer focused on development experience for researchers and engineers, building and maintaining systems to enable iterative development, testing, and deployment of features with high velocity and low friction. Lead design of CI pipelines, testing infrastructure, and build system support, primarily working with Python, Rust, and C++ to provide a scalable, stable development platform for OpenAI research.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain systems that allow the research and engineering organization to iteratively develop, test, and deploy new features reliably and with high velocity.
  • Help oversee and drive the vision for how to build, test, and deploy software.
  • Drive the design of continuous integration pipelines, testing infrastructure, and training and support around the build system.

Qualifications

  • Supported large monorepo development and deployment
  • Proficient Python programmer working in large monorepos
  • Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in CI/CD
