About the role
Building a platform for reliable AI agents that automate complex work. Owns core systems, designs for reliability, and collaborates with founders to set product and engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Own core agent systems from idea to production: orchestration, tool‑use, planning, memory, evals.
- Architect for reliability: design agent loops and guardrails that hold up under real‑world edge cases.
- Ship fast, learn faster: run experiments, measure outcomes, iterate weekly.
- Collaborate tightly with the founders in NYC to set product direction, quality bars, and engineering culture.
- Set the blueprint: your design decisions, documents, and code style become the standard for future hires.
Qualifications
- Experience shipping production systems end‑to‑end and owning outcomes.
- Deep care for reliability, including tests, evals, and metrics.
- Product-minded approach, asking “what does the user need?” and building simple solutions.
- Preference for in-person collaboration and fast decision cycles.
- Interest in defining engineering culture in a scaling company.
