Founding ML engineer
About the role
Founding ML engineer role at Diligent, an early-stage fintech risk and compliance AI startup. You’ll help build core AI agent frameworks, deploy and scale LLM-based workflows for financial compliance, and work closely with the founding team to shape the product and engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of your first module and push improvements to production, impacting customer workflows.
- Build product infrastructure for LLMs, data sources, and tools to automate workflows for financial compliance teams.
- Work directly with customers to solve problems, showing high empathy and collaboration with risk teams.
- Lead feedback calls with customers on modules and own end customer outcomes.
- Tackle technical and non-technical scaling problems as the company grows.
- Collaborate with CEO, CTO, and other founders to mature engineering practice.
