About the role
Intern role focusing on building perception for Orangewood robot arms, including object detection, pose estimation, bin picking, and visual inspection. Prototype image-processing and deep learning models, data collection/ labeling, experiments, and integration of vision features into real-world use cases.
Responsibilities
- Work with AI/vision team to build perception for Orangewood robot arms: object detection, pose estimation, bin picking, visual inspection.
- Prototype image-processing and deep learning models
- Collect and label data
- Run experiments
- Help integrate vision features into real-world use cases
Qualifications
- Strong Python; basics of NumPy, OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow
- Fundamentals of CNNs, image classification, detection/segmentation
- Data handling: image annotation, datasets, train/val/test splits
- Bonus: camera calibration, 3D geometry, ROS, robotics exposure
