About the role

FDSE who works directly with customers to understand problems, design and implement data-driven solutions, and own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to understand their problems and design/implement data-driven solutions
  • Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision
  • Discuss architecture, wrangle large-scale data, code custom web apps, engage with customer executives, and help establish team strategy

Qualifications

  • Strong engineering background (preferred fields: Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science)
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and related tools
  • Experience or interest in working with large-scale data to solve business problems
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to learn independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel to client sites; travel 25-50% preferred (varies by team/location)
