About the role

Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) design end-to-end solutions for customers, iterating rapidly on projects that address real-world problems across diverse industries and geographies. This role is located in Tokyo, Japan, supporting US Government work.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers’ pain points and design end-to-end solutions
  • Lead the way in developing a solution from high-level system design and prototyping to application development and data integration
  • Solicit constant feedback from customers and colleagues to improve products over time with rapid iteration cycles
  • Work with Palantir products, open source technologies, and in-house tools to drive real impact
  • Collaborate with customers on site to understand and solve problems across different regulatory environments and data contexts

Qualifications

  • Strong engineering background (preferred in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in technical and non-technical teams in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel within country as needed
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with eligibility and willingness to obtain SCI
