About the role
Palantir Design Team focuses on the human experience of Palantir software. The role involves leading design work, user research, prototyping, and collaboration with engineers to build usable data-driven solutions for government, commercial, and philanthropic contexts.
Responsibilities
- Interaction and visual design: define early concepts, flesh out workflow and micro-interactions, execute visual design; experience with Sketch, Framer, Principle, Figma, Invision.
- User research: informal research, visiting customer offices, interviewing users, combining qualitative and quantitative data.
- Prototyping: create prototypes with tools like Principle and Framer to communicate designs and validate decisions.
- Partnering with engineers: collaborate with product and forward deployed engineers to prototype and build products.
- Awareness of frontend technologies: familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Typescript to collaborate with engineers.
Qualifications
- Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
- Portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project. If parts are password-protected, include portfolio password under 'Additional Information' when applying.
