About the role
Defense Tech Software Engineer Intern role at Palantir focused on contributing code to the Gotham product, supporting defense capabilities, and delivering mission-critical software for defense partners.
Responsibilities
- Support work delivering Palantir Defense capabilities to mission partners throughout the product lifecycle (idea generation, design, prototyping, execution, shipping).
- Be paired with a mentor and collaborate with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customer problems and build solutions.
- Contribute to software development for Gotham and related defense-focused tooling (e.g., geospatial mapping, release infrastructure components).
- Follow SWE principles: Ownership, Collaboration, Trust.
Qualifications
- Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
- Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain clearance prior to start.
- Experience coding in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Planning to graduate in 2028 (this is the final internship before graduating).
