About the role

Part-Time on-site bussing role in Detroit, MI focused on supporting servers and maintaining a polished dining environment in an upscale restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Table Preparation and Maintenance: clear tables with meticulous attention to detail and speed; Replenish condiments, and other tabletop items promptly and proactively; Clean and sanitize tables and chairs between courses, maintaining a spotless dining area.
  • Guest Service Support: Ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of service; Attend guest requests with professionalism and courtesy, addressing any concerns promptly and discreetly; Anticipate guest needs and proactively provide assistance, exceeding expectations whenever possible.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate effectively with servers, fellow bussers, and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment; Communicate clearly and concisely with team members to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
  • Restaurant Standards: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times; Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment; Assist with setting up and closing down the dining area as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 months of experience in an upscale restaurant setting preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering impeccable service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Must be physically fit to carry heavy trays and stand for long periods.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
